Laundry guide

Separate by construction, not by color alone

Coated capes: keep the finish in mind.

The Water-Shedding Shampoo Cape combines polyester with a polyurethane coating. Wipe coated capes instead of hot tumble drying. Avoid bleach and high heat. A surface that sheds rinse splash is not a tested chemical barrier; do not use it as protective equipment or infer resistance to dyes, disinfectants or other salon chemicals.

Read the coated cape record

Woven capes: protect the closures.

Wash textiles separately with mild detergent. Close snaps or hook-and-loop before handling a load so fastening surfaces are less likely to catch other items. Keep a clear viewing panel away from harsh rubbing and heat. The short nylon cape and longer polyester constructions have different drape and closures, so check the record for each one instead of treating every cape as identical.

Cotton: terry is not waffle.

The Cotton Hair Towel Pair is 450 gsm terry; the long cotton towel is 500 gsm terry. The compact cotton waffle weave is 280 gsm and lower bulk. Wash separately with mild detergent and avoid bleach or high heat. Give fabric room to rinse and dry rather than compressing a stack. No listing promises bleach resistance.

Microfiber: separate from lint.

The wrap and wide towel use 80% polyester and 20% polyamide. Keep them separate from lint-shedding terry where practical. Use mild detergent; avoid bleach and high heat. Check the wrap’s button and elastic loop before storage, and let each piece dry before folding it into a closed stack.

Check condition before returning to use.

Look at fastening edges, stitching and the clear window where present. If something is damaged, set it aside and ask about the issue using its SKU and order reference. A wash routine does not establish disinfection, certification or chemical resistance. This guide explains textile handling, not a substitute for applicable workplace hygiene requirements.

Plan the next load in selling units.

A pair contains two pieces to wash even though the cart quantity is one. Keep that distinction on your restock list and leave clean, dry space for each format. Revisit the station checklist when changing towel size or cape coverage.
